Niseko Wine Supply encourages and promotes the responsible serving and consumption of alcohol.
Responsible Drinking | |
|
|
Because alcohol can affect people in different ways there is no amount of alcohol that can be said to be safe for everyone. People choosing to drink must realise that there will always be some risk to their health and social well-being and as such must take personal responsibility for minimising these risks. For further information and guidelines for responsible drinking please visit Australian Alchol Guidelines in Summary. |

Alcohol consumption during pregnancy can greatly affect the growth and development of the unborn child. Drinking is strongly discouraged during pregnancy because it can cause a number of physical and mental anomalies in a baby, including foetal alcohol syndrome. |

The legal limit for drinking and driving in Japan is measured differently and is significantly lower than that in Australia and many other parts of the world. Measured by the amount of alcohol per litre of exhaled breath (rather than blood alcohol) the legal limit is 0.15mg/l. The Australian legal drink driving limit is .05% blood alcohol which converts to .25mg/l on the Japanese measure.
0.15mg/l breath alcohol equates to approximately .03% blood alcohol. |
Penalties | |
![]() |
Japan imposes severe penalties to deter drink-driving. These penalties apply to drivers, those serving drivers and those travelling as passengers.
Penalties up to 5 years imprisonment and ¥1 million can be imposed. We reserve the right not to accept or deliver an order if we believe that to sell to you is against the law. |
